Footnote handles a sensitive moment — a job offer you haven't told anyone about. We treat that with the discretion it deserves. Here's how your data is protected.
Encrypted in transit & at rest
Everything moves over TLS and is stored encrypted. Your briefs and inputs are protected on disk, not just on the wire.
Public data only
Briefs are built from public records. We never contact the company you're researching, so your interest stays invisible.
Least-privilege access
Access to production is limited, logged, and reviewed. Your brief is sealed to your account; staff don't browse customer briefs.
Payments, handled off-site
Card details go straight to our PCI-compliant processor. We keep a token and the last four digits — never your full card number.
Yours to delete
Delete a brief or close your account whenever you like. Your data leaves live systems within seven days, and encrypted backups containing it expire and are purged within 30 days.
Monitored & backed up
Infrastructure is monitored, patched, and backed up continuously, so the service stays available and recoverable.
